This Organic Ethiopia Natural Yirgacheffe comes from the highlands of southern Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe region, one of the world’s most celebrated coffee-growing areas. Produced by smallholder farmers in the Gedeo Zone at elevations ranging from 1,700 to 2,200 meters, this coffee is grown on small family farms using traditional, organic farming practices and Ethiopian heirloom varieties.

After harvest, ripe coffee cherries are delivered to local cooperatives and collection stations, where they are naturally processed—sun-dried whole on raised beds to enhance sweetness and complexity. These cooperatives support quality improvement, community development, and better market access for farmers, often under the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. The result is a vibrant, fruit-forward coffee that reflects both the region’s unique terroir and the generations of knowledge behind its production.
